As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and efficient backend systems that power our ML voice products. Collaborating closely with Product, ML, and Research teams, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our product and company.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and robust distributed systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, ML, and Research teams.
• Uphold coding practices and ensure code quality.
• Implement and enforce security and compliance standards.
• Mentor junior engineers to foster their growth and development.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in similar roles, demonstrating proficiency in backend engineering.
• Expertise in fundamental data structures and algorithms.
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining large distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems design principles and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with infrastructure frameworks and tooling such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Helm.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Exceptional problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Deep self-awareness and integrity, with a self-motivated and resilient attitude.
• Nice to have: Previous experience with production Python within the last 5 years, audio/video streaming, or ML/ML-adjacent products.
